The Underwood School Fitness Center will be closed Monday, July 21 through Wednesday, July 23 as we are stripping/waxing the hallway. Thanks.
We are excited about our new agriculture program for the upcoming year. If you want to help we have a wish list. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/18S7NXQ02N26Z?ref_=wl_share. Thanks!
Adventure Academy's final week was a Carnival! We worked on problem solving, budget a trip to the carnival, built roller coasters and Ferris wheels. We ended the week with our own carnival games and a trip to Soda's and Things for ice cream!

Adventure Academy had a great "Treasure/Pirate" week. We worked on coin recognition, making change, coding, and reading fluency and comprehension. We made Treasure rocks and ended the week with a scavenger hunt at Heger's farm.

That's a wrap! 2025 FBLA NLC was a success! There was lots of networking, fun, and memories! Congrats again to Reagan and Nellie on this accomplishment!

This week's theme at Adventure Academy was "Water and 4th of July". We learned about buoyancy, water cycle and why water and oil don't mix. We ended the week with water relays and a water balloon competition.

Good luck to Reagan and Nellie as they compete at the National FBLA conference in Anaheim, California today!

Adventure Academy ended "Nature" week with a field trip to the Downstream Nature Trail and a bonus stop at the Fish Hatchery. We did a nature walk bingo, held fish, fed the fish and got to have turtle races.

Adventure Academy is going on a field trip on Friday, June 27th. Please return the field trip forms as soon as possible. If your student didn't bring a form home, please contact the school.

We are planning a significant renovation of our playground for the summer of 2026. I am in need of community Letters of Support for this project for the grants I am applying for. This will benefit our entire community as the playground is accessible year round by the public. If you are willing to assist, please send your letter to me at todd.benson@underwoodschool.org. Thanks.
We wrapped up the first week of Adventure Academy! Cooking was this week's theme. The students had to write a recipe for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They realized how being specific is important! To end the week they made dirt cups! Next, week's theme is "Beach" week.

Support Our New FACS Classroom!
We are excited to be starting up a brand-new Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) classroom where students will learn essential life skills like cooking, sewing, budgeting, and more. As we build this space from the ground up, we're in need of supplies and materials to help make hands-on learning possible.
If you'd like to support our students, please consider donating an item from our Amazon Wish List. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference and helps create a welcoming, well-equipped environment for learning and growth.
Thank you for supporting our students!
