1st-5th grade parents: Here is an exciting opportunity for your student(s) to participate in a half day music camp! Register with a friend and carpool to Mandan for a super fun time. I’ll be teaching all day and would love to see some Underwood faces. I have brochures in the music room if you want more info.


The elementary was a busy place today! A guest reader in 1st grade this morning and hands on division activities were just a few of the fun happenings!

2nd grader were the first to have fun experimenting with the BeeBots today! Thanks again to our Ottertail Power grant for the funds to provide this opportunity!




Congratulations Mason! Mason was runner up today at the Mclean County spelling be. He will be representing our county at the state spelling bee in March. Way to go!


During the month of February, PreK - 12th grade students are spending time Making Kindness Happen and exploring ways to give back to our school and community! Today, we kicked this off with a Lyceum where students sat with with Comet Connection buddies and participated in a few activities! We are excited to see what February brings!
We also congratulate Mrs. Heidelberger on receiving the Golden Apple Award! She is always looking to be helpful to staff and students, for ways to make things better and for solutions when things get tough! Mrs. Heidelberger was nominated by several staff at the school.




Last week the Seniors and their 1st grade buddies made some amazing snow globes with paint and shaving cream. It’s was a bit of a mess but they all had a blast!

Happy 100th day of school! It is tons of fun to celebrate! Make sure to ask your kids what they did today! Some had to spend $100, some counted to 100 a variety of ways, others had to find words, some went on a scavenger hunt and so much more!


Reading Month is coming up in March! Order forms for t-shirts went home with elementary students, and more are available in the offices for high school students, staff, and other adults. Please turn forms and money in by February 10th!


This past week was filled with lots of multi- grade Comet Connection activities! The Preschool was thrilled to partner with 6th grade for a scavenger hunt!

Tonight's GBB game against Wilton-Wing has been postponed to tomorrow. Tomorrow's schedule will be a double header in Wilton. The schedule will be as follows:

9th grade had the opportunity to take part in a Distracted and Impaired Driving Simulation! They realized the potential for a tragic outcome that a 1 second delay in response can have in a real life situation!
