The freshmen tackled taffy for their holiday lab. It was a tasty treat.







Juniors in chemistry got into the holiday spirit with the annual peanut brittle lab.



Our seniors were dressed festive today for the movie with their little buddies and for our Christmas party. They won the best dressed class for the High School Christmas dress-up contest. Some of the seniors even matched with each other, and one group matched with their little buddy! Way to go, Seniors!




The 4th and 8th grade students had a fun time making some Christmas crafts for their Comet Connections!









1st graders got their class Bingo and chose to watch a Christmas movie with their Senior Buddies. Today, we are watching two Christmas classics (Frosty the Snowman & A Charlie Brown Christmas) in the gym drive-in movie style.


Sophomores and 2nd graders made snowmen for their comet connections today!

9th graders created a brass alloy from copper and zinc. It was fun to turn copper pennies into "gold"!

Comet Corner will not be completing orders over Christmas Break! If you would like new apparel before the new year, orders need to be in by Tuesday 12/17! Be on the lookout for new items coming in the New Year!


The second graders had a great time on their field trip! They got to see The Nutcracker and do some exploring at the Heritage Center.






JH Boys Basketball practice will start on Monday after school at the Turtle Lake Community Center. There will be transportation from Underwood to practice. Boys need a physical prior to the start of practice and will need to pay the $45 fee to the school office.

Tonight's Girls Basketball game vs. Edgley-Kulm-Montpelier in the Stutsman County Shootout (at Jamestown) MAY be broadcast on the local radio station. The Boys Basketball game @ Flasher will be broadcast on NFHS.

Elementary Students earned a Christmas pajama day on Monday, December 16th for earning their goal of 25 Comet Callouts in the month of November--they earned 33! Way to Go. Please make sure pajamas are school and weather appropriate.


Internet safety presentation starting @ 6pm at the school tonight. Very good information for parents. Also free chili!

Come and see what the "Social World" is really like for our youth and how we can keep them safe! Underwood and surrounding communities are invited! Parents of Underwood Elementary and HS students attending can put their child/rem's name in a drawing for awesome prizes!



7-12 Holiday concert will be on Thursday December 12th starting at 7:00pm. Doors will open at 6:45. Parents/Students please check Rooms for report times.
