Welcome Back to Underwood School! We are so excited to have all our students back in school, tomorrow, August 20th. There will be a virtual Open House tonight at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Comet Run Club (grades K-6) will resume on Tuesday/Thursday’s beginning on Tuesday, August 25th, at the track. 7:45 AM! Anytime it’s raining - it’s cancelled. Snack provided. No registration necessary - just show up. I’ll get kids to class on time 😉

Where's the Way BINGO! Congratulations & #UnderwoodWayToGo to Mason for being the first to complete a Where's the Way BINGO game. How did he do it? Mason has been a big help this summer by mowing the lawn, helping in the garden, and helping out around the house. Mason often took the initiative to get these chores completed while his parents were working so they didn’t have to worry about doing them after work. Our survey results showed that over 91% of all students plan on attending school for on-campus instruction. There will be an option for those that do not wish to send their child to school to participate in distance learning. We will ask for that commitment by noon on August 14th. More information to follow on what that distance learning will look like for those that choose that option, as well as how to sign up for distance learning.

If you are a parent of a child in the Underwood School District, and you did not receive a survey for back to school considerations earlier this week, please contact the school to receive a survey. Cross Country: CC starts on Aug 10 for grades 7-12. Practice begins at 9:00 am. Meet at the Underwood School parking lot next to the playground. Registration for the 2020-21 school year will be held on August 12th and 13th from 4 - 7 pm both days. More details will be forthcoming about the process we will utilize for registration.

In observance of Independence Day, the school office will be closed on July 3rd, and will reopen July 6th. Have a safe Holiday weekend!

Graduation will be held Friday @ 6:00pm. Doors will open for graduates and their immediate family at 5:00pm. Doors will open to the public at 5:25pm. Do to the covid guidelines there will be roughly 338 (capped at 500 total) seats open to general public. There will be no receiving line, and every other row of the bleachers will be sectioned off. Tables will be set up for cards and gifts. Graduation will be live streamed through the UHS Facebook page for those unable to attend. https://www.facebook.com/underwoodND/
