Congratulations to our CRACTC Student of the Month in the area of Agriculture, Libby Heger from Underwood Public School. Here is what Libby's classroom instructor, Glen Huettl, had to say about Libby:
Libby Heger is currently enrolled in her third semester of CRACTC Agriculture online class. Since day one, Libby has been very active in all three areas of Agricultural Education; the classroom, Supervised Agricultural Experience and the FFA.
Libby is a very prompt with her online work and is diligent about staying on pace with the classwork. She is very comfortable learning in the hybrid online style class. During the “hands-on” learning days, Libby is not afraid to jump in and operate all the tools in our welding units. Libby has an excellent Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). She has been raising, breeding and showing goats for years. During her first online course, she was able set up her online Ag Experience Tracker (AET) record book for her goat project. Libby is very excited for her goat operation and the upcoming year.
Libby has become very involved in the FFA. Over the past two years, she has participated in both FFA Career Development Events as well Leadership Development Events. This includes; FFA quiz, 9th Grade Ag. Mechanics, Environmental & Natural Resources, and this year she is participating in the winter CDE Agriculture Sales. She has attended the District FFA Leadership, State and National FFA Conventions. She has overcome the challenges of attending Underwood High School and being very involved in Garrison FFA activities. Libby is an excellent example of a student making the most of the opportunities available to her in online Ag. Education course and in the FFA.
